Low yields of 38 hl/ha. Aged in vat and oak barrels for 14 months and bottled without filtration. A powerful and complex nose with hints of roast coffee, garrigue, dark fruits, spice and liquorice. On the palate, the wine is elegant yet opulent, powerful with notes of red fruit and buttery toast. The tannins on the finish are round, ripe, and unctuous. Ideal with red meats, game and CHOCOLATE! Yes, there are some reds which pair with chocolate. If you’re not keen on sweet wines or, like me, sometimes you’re enjoying the taste of red wine but still want dessert, this is one way.
